- STC Hardware Upgrades (April 18 2008)
This summer, six STCs will undergo hardware upgrades:

Business/SPEA 3005
Inlow Hall (School of Law) 235D
Inlow Hall (School of Law) 235E
Inlow Hall (School of Law) 235G
Nursing School 342

- Vista Migration (February 12 2008)
All STC managed machines, including the General Inventory classrooms, will be upgraded to Vista Enterprise SP1 for the Fall '08 semester. The current Windows XP sp2 build will remain on all systems until after the Summer II session. Since this is a significant change to our computing environment, we have made Vista “First Look” stations available in the BS3000 and IT131 labs for those interested in previewing our new Vista build.

- Pay-for-Print (June 01 2006)
Effective August 14, IUPUI will institute a charge of 4 cents per print for black-and-white printing. A print is defined as one side of one sheet of paper. You will be able to pay for your printouts by swiping your JagTag card at print release stations in each location.

- Floppy Drives to be Phased Out of STCs (August 24 2005)
During Summer 2006, the Student Technology Centers began to phase out support for Zip drives in all STCs in favor of more cost-effective alternatives. This phase-out is to be completed in the Summer of 2008. For more information, please see http://kb.iu.edu/data/atkz.html
- Conserving Paper in the STCs (August 06 2005)
Did you know that you can print on both sides of a sheet of paper (duplex) in all Student Technology Centers and most Residential Technology Centers?
